Irish Hotels' performance on direct bookings is reportedly flatter in Q3 compared to the previous quarters of 2023: room-nights show a 6% decrease against the previous year but this didn't affect direct booked revenue (+1%) thanks to a strong ADR overall.

The importance of smart, focused and ROI-driven investment on Digital Media channels (Search, Meta, Social, Display, Video etc...) remains critical for hotels in their pursuit of growing direct business. Data for Q3/2023 shows a very healthy ROI overall (x24) and a significant incidence in overall direct bookings coming directly through Digital Media Advertising (49%).
