King Koil’s bed division in Co. Kildare had a big uptick in hotel activity in 2022 as the Irish market began to recover from Covid.
The Dalata Group (owners of the Maldron Hotel and Clayton Hotel brands) was particularly active, with four new build hotels requiring top class King Koil beds this year, alongside the refurbishment of beds across much of their estate. The group’s new 204-bed chic and contemporary hotel, The Samuel on Dublin’s North Quay was also kitted out with luxury King Koil beds this year.
Crowne Plaza Hotels in Dublin and Dundalk also chose 2022 to refurbish and upgrade their King Koil bed stocks. As did hotels in the Leonardo chain (previously Jury’s) and many independent hotels in both Ireland and the UK.
Christine Martin said “It was great to see buoyancy back in the hotel sector, King Koil continues to be the bed of choice for leading chains and independents and we see healthy sales ahead in 2023 as hotels take the chance to upgrade and renew dated bed stocks.
