This research was undertaken by Pigsback, with customers who purchased a hotel break in Ireland in the last 12 months. 92% of the respondents were over the age of 35 and 70% were female.
Among many other interesting insights, the results have shown that value for money remains very important in the market, the most popular add-on for a hotel package is dinner and that 86% of our customers plan on taking a break for 2 or more nights this Autumn.
The objectives of the research included:
- To find out if our customers intend to take a short break in Ireland this Autumn
- To understand what factors are important to our customers when planning a break
- To discern our customers’ sentiment towards foreign travel
