Position: Sales and Marketing Executive – Maternity Contract
Reporting To: Sales and Marketing Manager / General Manager
Preferred Start Date: Early November 2017
Scope of Position
Responsible for maximising the sales potential of Shamrock Lodge Hotel across all business segments especially the wedding market. Covering a maternity contract for 6 months, with view to full time employment thereafter should targets be met.
Key Duties & Objectives
- Assist and manage all aspects of development and promotion of weddings and wedding events from ongoing support to couples, meeting of potential new couples and a huge focus on converting wedding show-arounds
- Management of all wedding related activity as well as regular updates of wedding sales and fortnightly reporting of same to General Manager
- Management of Marketing expenditure budget
- Devise and execute hotel sales & marketing promotional campaigns
- Develop printed promotional material including brochures, flyers, special offers, posters etc. as required
- Manage hotel advertising and research options to promote the hotel effectively using local and regional media
- Social media management across all platforms
- Assist with website content and driving sales through this channel
- Review, monitor and improve the hotels online presence on official website and all third-party websites
- Attend consumer and trade promotions as required
- Identify key competitors and carry out regular competitor analysis; monitoring their performance, rates and sales activity
Required Qualifications:
• Must have relevant Marketing Qualifications (Bachelor's Degree or similar)
Required Skills:
• Strong MS office skills including Publisher
• Strong outgoing personality, with excellent interpersonal skills and high standards
• Good organisational skills
• Takes initiative, works well without direction
• Enthusiastic, friendly, helpful
• Experience in hotel environment would be desirable but not essential
