Ashford Castle is currently seeking a talented, motivated and experienced Food and Beverage Manager to oversee the Food & Beverage Operations within the five star Red Carnation Resort.  

Responsibilities

• Manage the Food and Beverage Function
• Build and Drive positive Five Star Standards of Food and Service
• Drive increased sales, promote business and optimise profits, ensuring the Hotels high standard of quality and service are adhered too.
• Provide direction and oversight to employees and initiate employment actions such as hiring, discipline, etc
• Maintaining a highly professional, visible, responsive and accessible management presence in all outlets
• Assuring professional, ethical, responsive interaction with guests
• Have a strong knowledge of cost control, Food and Beverage Procedures and Ashford five star standards of service and food product
• Assures that effective orientation and training for new staff and professional development activities for current experienced staff are planned and implemented
• Adhere to all Health and Safety requirements

The ideal candidate must meet the following criteria:

• At least six years in F&B Department in addition to management degree/diploma with at least three years in a management position
• Ability to manage department heads and staff must be apparent
• Must have sound knowledge and passion for food & beverage
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence change
• Ability to develop, coach, and train staff is essential as is the proven ability to grow sales while providing exceptional customer service
• Exceptional interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
• Understanding of labour management and food cost
