3. Representation
The IHF and its senior team including Chief Executive Tim Fenn and President Denyse Campbell, are regularly lobbying and representing the Hotel and Guest House industry at Government and EU level. The IHF team were involved in negotiating a lower VAT rate for the hospitality industry, as well as being actively involved in pay rate negotiations.
As a member you can raise any issues that you have at your local branch level, by either contacting your Branch Chairperson or attending a Branch Meeting. Your issue will then be brought to the IHF Council which is attended by all the Branch Chairs. More serious issues can be addressed to Tim Fenn or the President who will raise them at the IHF Management Committee meetings.
In addition to the above the IHF are represented on various boards and committees relating to the the Tourism Industry these include Fáilte Ireland, Tourism Ireland, Shannon Development and the Small Business Advisory Group.
