The IHF, Fáilte Ireland, and a representative from AIB, will highlight the importance and value of appropriate and timely financial planning and reporting to support hotel business growth
10.30 – 11.15am A SNAPSHOT OF THE BUSINESS
Fáilte Ireland will present its Business Diagnostic for Hotels as a practical means of getting a snapshot of all aspects of your business, forming the basis for identification of needs and associated action
11.30 - 1.00pm REPORTING TO YOUR BANK
Crowe Horwath, accountancy and business advisory practice, will provide an outline of what information your bank expects and how to approach building a sound reporting system with and for your bank; the focus will be on delivering a financial pack which details relevant key performance indicators and trends in the business for bank internal use and external reporting
1.30 - 3.00pm HOTEL CASE STUDY WITH WORKED EXAMPLES
Crowe Horwath will use a practical case study approach to show how to bring a hotel from limited reporting to a high standard of reporting; participants will be given guidelines as to what type of information and analysis should be included in a management financial pack for submission to the bank, and an example of a complete monthly management pack suitable for bank reporting will be provided
