A gala ball was held at the Headfort Arms Hotel, Kells Co. Meath on Monday, October 10 and was attended by Patrick O’Donovan TD, Minister of State for Tourism and Sport, Mary Fitzgerald, chairperson, Manor House Hotels / Irish Country Hotels, RTE presenter Ryan Tubridy and notable hotel industry and hospitality personalities from the organisation’s 55 member hotels.
Founded in 1986 by Bord Failte in conjunction with the Irish Tourist Board, the principle objective of Manor House Hotels / Irish Country Hotels is to provide smaller, distinctively welcoming hotels with a vehicle to access the international tourism market. A major contributor to their local economies, it’s estimated that the organisation currently employs in excess of 2,750 people.
